A VoIP package is a bundled set of services and features offered by a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) provider. BT are in the process of moving all of their customers from the old analogue public switched telephone network (PSTN) to a fully digital network.

The plan is to have everyone moved over before the PSTN (and ISDN) service closes in 2025. By then, every phone line in the UK will be digital, routing calls over the internet via VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) rather than the traditional PSTN.
